The Levittown Soccer Club congratulates
Katlin SanFilippo the recipient of the LIJSL 2026 Club Volunteer of the Year!
Katlin has dedicated her life to the game of soccer and to making it accessible to every child. She began her soccer journey at Levittown Soccer Club at the age of 4 as a Snoopy player and grew though the program all the way to the U-19 level. Those early years not only shaped her love for sport but also inspired her passion for coaching and mentorship.
Katlin is now the Head Coach of the Soccer Stars; a program designed specifically for children with special needs. For over 15 years, she has been committed to creating a positive, inclusive, and supportive environment where children of all abilities can learn, grow, and thrive through soccer. She has built this program from just a few children to over 50 players and buddies. Before becoming head coach, Katlin volunteered as a buddy, working one-on-one with players to help them build confidence, develop skills, and experience the joy of being part of a team.
In addition to her work with Soccer Stars, Katlin is the Varsity Assistant Coach for the Locust Valley High School Girls Soccer team and a Special Education teacher.
Her patience, compassion, and dedication have made a lasting impact on countless families and athletes. Katlin believes that soccer is more than a game, it is a powerful tool for connection, confidence, and inclusion.
Katlin was awarded this well deserved honor at the 2026 LIJSL Gala. Please join us in congratulating her on receiving the recognition she so greatly deserves. And thank you Katlin for all you have done for the Levittown Soccer Club and the Levittown Community.
