It is with great sadness that the Levittown Soccer Club announces the passing of our beloved board member Bill Heise.
Bill was a highly valued member of our Levittown Soccer program, serving as an intramural coach and assistant to our Travel Program before taking on the position of Equipment Director on the LSC Board of Directors in 2017. Bill spent endless hours giving his time to the club organizing equipment, maintaining fields, and making sure our coaches had everything they needed. Because of his dedication to the youth of our community, Bill was honored by Long Island Junior Soccer League in 2019 as Volunteer of The Year.
To many of us, Bill was a wonderful colleague, a treasured friend, and a true lover of the beautiful game. “In all my years involved with Levittown sports I have never met a fellow parent who was more invested than Bill, ” said Marc Herschmann, fellow Shockwave U18 parent . “He reveled in every victory and lamented every loss as if he was the starting goalie of the team. He was a cherished part of the Shockwave family that can never be replaced. We will miss him terribly and will honor him the best way we know how; by rooting passionately and with pride in our girls.”
Bill’s dedication, hard work, and love for the game and our club shined on and off the field. This is a tremendous loss for LSC and the entire soccer community. Bill Heise is survived by his wife Kathy, daughter Alexa, son Sean, family, friends, and the entire LSC organization.
