The Soccer Stars Program was started in 2000 and is designed to accommodate children who are not able to participate in mainstream soccer activity. The program brings the opportunity of learning and playing soccer to any boy or girl, age five and older, that could benefit from additional attention due to mental, physical, or developmental disabilities. Soccer Stars affords all children the opportunity to learn the game of soccer, to interact with other children, make new friends, and to enjoy the spirit of competition. Volunteer “buddies” will partner with your child and help them participate to the best of their abilities.
Soccer Stars currently meet on Sundays during the Fall season for 8-9 weeks (weather dependent) and again during the Spring for an additional 8-9 weeks (weather dependent).
This program is free of charge to all athletes that wish to participate however registration is required.
If you have a child/athlete that would like to participate feel free to register at any time.
If you have any questions or are interested in becoming a volunteer buddy, please contact the Program Coordinator Katlin SanFilippo by email at [email protected] or by phone at 516-965-9850
